Em 10FEV09, na presença do Chefe do Estado Maior da PMPE, Cel PM Daniel, foi inaugurada a Alexandria, biblioteca do Centro de Reeducação da PMPE, voltada para todos os integrantes da corporação, notadamente, para os servidores militares cumprindo decisão judicial.
Com mais de trezentos exemplares todos eles doados, inclusive pela Caixa Econômica federal e pela editora Martin Claret, o Tenente Coronel PM Alcides Romão de Sousa Filho, diretor do Centro, exortou a colaboração de todos de sorte que, a Alexandria, possa ampliar e diversificar o seu acervo.
